Inject .sav file into reproduction GBA Cartridges

This guide helps you extract a fake GBA game ROM, inject/extract with a .sav, and then re-flash it back onto the fake cartridge.
This will extract the ROM (which contains the .sav on repro carts), and allow you to inject or extract the .sav file using a PC, then re-flash it back onto the cartridge.

You will need an internet connection, Windows PC, a Micro SD and DS Flashcart with TwiLight Menu++, and a DS/DS lite.

How to:

1. Download the ROM backup tool here. (GBA_Backup_Tool_0.21 by Rudolph)

2. Extract the tool and copy the .nds to the root of your Flashcart's SD card.

3. Go up to any part of your fake GBA game, and save the game. Navigate to the backup tool on your flashcart, and open it.

4. Press 'L' or 'R' until you get up to 'ROM Backup", then press 'B', and confirm the backup. This will save the .gba file with the .sav to 'GBA_Backup'

5. Insert the SD card into your PC, and copy the .gba file onto your computer.

6. Download the save file injector/extractor from ProjectPokemon

6. Open the save file injector/extractor from the .zip file. Once the executable is opened, click 'Open', and navigate to your .gba ROM extarcted from your cartridge.

7. Now you can extract and/or inject a .sav file for the GBA game. Click the repsective button, and find your .sav file to inject/the place to save your file.

8. Once the .sav file is injected, the .gba ROM will now have a new save file. Copy this file to your DS/DS lite flashcart SD Card.

9. Download 'GBABF' from GBAtemp and extract the .7z file with 7ZIP. Copy the .nds file to your DS/DS lite flashcart SD Card.

10. Boot your flahscart on your DS unit, and open 'GBABF'. Select 'Flash ROM' and use the 'Auto Detect' flash setting. Wait for the ROM to flash to the GBA cartridge.

11. You're game should now be flashed and ready to go with your new save file.
